Guide

Free online MRI viewer

Open your MRI images right in your browser, from the folder on your CD or the ZIP archive the clinic gave you. There is nothing to install, and viewing is free.

How to start

  • Create a Remene account.
  • Drag the folder from your CD or the ZIP archive onto the upload page.
  • In a few minutes the images are ready to open in the viewer.

What you can do

  • Scroll slice by slice through each series of images.
  • Change the contrast and zoom in.
  • Switch between series, for example between different planes or sequences.
  • Find the study in your account and open it again later, on a computer or a phone.

Which files work

MRI images in DICOM, the standard format of the scanners: the folder from the CD or USB stick, or a ZIP archive. If you got a link, download the files first; a link that only shows the images on a web page is not enough, so ask the clinic for the DICOM files. If you are not sure how to get the images off the disc, read how to open your MRI CD.

Your data

Before processing, we remove your name and other identifying details from the files. The images are stored on servers in the European Union, and you can delete a study at any time. The data protection page has the details.

More than a viewer

A viewer shows you the images. Remene also helps you understand them: the analysis explains each structure in turn and shows the slice and area each explanation comes from, the radiologist’s report is explained in plain words, and at the end you get a document for your doctor. All of it is unlocked with one payment per study.

What it does not do

The viewer shows the images as they were acquired, without 3D reconstructions. Remene’s explanations do not replace a consultation; see the medical limitations.
